Daniel Garnica sat in the bed of the pickup truck sipping from a plastic cup full of Sprite. The drink helps calm his nerves before he performs. A few minutes before he rides a bull, he said, is when the anxiety begins to set in.

Dead bullrider 'had plenty of guts'
Friends of Australia's "number one cowboy" Greg Meech, who was killed at an Ipswich rodeo on Saturday, have described him as a loving partner and "gusty bloke".
One of the bull's hind legs then stomped on his chest.
However, hospital staff were unable to save his life. Mr Meech died about midnight.

Greg Rachal loved two things children and bull riding.
After he died in an automobile accident in May 2005, Rachal's family and friends decided to combine his two loves for an annual fundraising event.
